Root Lifter: Volume Where You Need It

I used to be in love with a product called  Sebastian Shape Root Lifter, that jet sprayed volume right where you needed it. But since I purchased it at a professional hair supplier called Delorme, I have never been able to find it again. 

I did, however find a similar product made by Kiehl’s called Super Thick Volumizer. It’s got the same pointed fire shot thingy to send the product straight to the roots and nowhere else and is great for adding volume around the crown of your head.

 

 

 

 Just a note: Plan on washing your hair the next day with this product, because greasy residue is an  unfortunate day-later side effect.

How To: Get Super Straight Hair

 

If you use a flat iron to straighten your hair, or just a lot of heat appliances in general,  this is THE product that you must know about: I.D. Care. This Japanese-made “heat silk lotion” was originally recommended by my hair dresser and comes from the makers of my favorite shampoo and conditioner: Crede. Rub a tiny amount all through hair, focusing on ends, and use any heat-based appliance for instantly shiny, ubersoft, ultrastraight, perfect hair. I absolutely promise it works, and at around $16 for 6 ounces, this product is totally worth it.

Problem: Cellulite

Solution: Clarins Total Body Lift: Stubborn Cellulite Control 

• What they claim: “The specialist treatment for localized fatty deposits and stubborn cellulite which combines three actions for visible, rapid contouring results: excess deposits and stubborn cellulite are reduced and skin quality is improved.”
• Pro: I purchased this product a while ago in a duty free airport shop in Vietnam and I can honestly say it totally works. Visible results after one week, major difference after one month. My legs were smoother, firmer, and showing almost no visible traces of cellulite. 
• Con:  When you stop, it stops. To reap the amazing anti-cellulite benefits of this cream, you have to keep using it. At $59.50 that can be a rather pricey endeavor. After I ran out, it took less than a week for my thighs to return to their previous cellutitified state. 

 

 Overall Rating: 6 out of 10. Product works, but too expensive for most of us to keep up with.
